ECHA: The RAC adopted 19 opinions on harmonized classifications and the SEAC final opinion on the proposal for restriction of PFCAs

The Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) concluded 19 opinions on harmonized classification and labeling, including opinions on the environmental risks of lead, other industrial chemicals, as well as 12 pesticides and biocides.

The Committee for Socio-economic Analysis (SEAC) adopted its final opinion in support of the proposal to limit the production, use, placing on the market and import of C9-C14 perfluorinated carboxylic acids (PFCA), the their salts and precursors. (PFNA; PFDA; PFUnDA; PFDoDA; PFTrDA; PFTDA)

In addition, the committees discussed and adopted an opinion on an application for authorization to use chromium trioxide to modify the properties of plastic surfaces and two opinions on audit reports for the use of recycled PVC containing DEHP.
