REACH: Regulation (EU) 2018/895 on fees and charges to be paid to ECHA

On 22nd June 2018 the EU Regulation 2018/895 was published, which ments the Regulation 340/2008 on the tariffs and charges to be paid to ECHA.

The Regulation modifies the charges applicable to applications for authorization and the applicable tariffs for revisions of authorizations according to the REACH Regulation.

Updating the Regulation leads to the elimination of additional fees and charges if an application for authorization is submitted by several applicants, if the applicants requesting a joint authorization have different sizes, for this request the tariff will be charged more high applicable to any of the applicants. For joint authorization applications, the costs should be shared fairly.

Another introduction includes the increase in tariffs and charges for further uses in authorization applications.

The Regulation enters into force on 15 July 2018 and specifies that for applications submitted before that date, Regulation (EC) 340/2008.
