COSMETICS: FRENCH DECISION ABOUT PHENOXYETHANOL

Last 13 March 2019 an important French decision was published regarding phenoxyethanol.


It provides that all non-rinsing products containing this preservative must bear the indication on the label that the product cannot be used in the diaper area in children under 3 years of age.

Deodorants and styling and make-up products are excluded.


All products marketed in France must comply with the decision within 9 months from the date of publication of the same.
