The Risk Assessment Committee (RAC) of ECHA has indicated that he is in favour of the Dutch proposal to ban the use of granules and mulch containing, on the whole, a quantity of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) greater than 20 mg / kg in synthetic grass.
The ban applies to sports fields, playgrounds and all other environments where artificial grass is provided.
