PROHIBITION OF USING LEAD IN CERTAIN ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT

The Decree of 15 April 2019 was published, which states "Implementation of the delegated directives of the European Commission 2018/736 / EU, 2018/737 / EU and 2018/738 / EU of 27 February 2018, 2018/739 / EU, 2018/740 / EU, 2018/741 / EU, 2018/742 / EU of 1 March 2018 and 2019/178 / EU of 16 November 2018 amending Annex III of Directive 2011/65 / EC on the restriction of certain hazardous substances in equipment electrical and electronic (RoHS II) ". The Decree amends Annex III of the Legislative Decree 4 March 2014, n. 27 to adapt it to the changes introduced by the directives

This provision incorporates some European directives that derogate from the ban on the use of lead in specific electrical and electronic equipment, modifying Annex III of the Legislative Decree 27/2014 which contains the exceptions for the use of hazardous substances.

The new regulation applies from 1 July 2019, with the exception of the exceptions provided for by the directive 2019/178 / UE for the use of lead in bearings and pistons applied in some non-road equipment for professional use, in force from 22 July 2019 .
