CLP: Delegated act adopted by the European Commission which modifies the first deadline for notification to poison control centers

The act delegated by the European Commission was adopted which modified the deadline for sending notification to the poison control center for products intended for consumer use.

The deadline has been moved from 1 January 2020 to 1 January 2021.

For products for professional and industrial use there will be no changes to the deadlines.

The European Parliament and the Council are evaluating this delegated act, if there is no opposition it will enter into force in the Official Gazette after two months.

Industry stakeholders have raised several concerns, the Commission is working to amend Annex VIII in order to resolve some issues.
