ECHA: Application of Article 95 - ECHA has accelerated the evaluation of applications

According to the BPR, a biocidal product cannot be made available on the market unless the supplier of the substance or the supplier of the product is included in the list of suppliers according to Article 95 for the relevant product types.

However, some national authorities, which are responsible for complying with this obligation, have stated that disinfectant products do not have to fulfill this obligation for the moment.

That said, ECHA is speeding up the evaluation of applications for disinfectants under Article 95 and will start evaluations before paying the fees.

Final decisions will however only be issued after payment of the fees.
