ECHA: Control by the authorities on the obligation to notify mixtures to poison centers

The Enforcement Forum has decided that the 2022 pilot project will focus on notifications to poison centers and the obligations of companies to notify dangerous mixtures in the countries where they are marketed.

Companies are obliged to notify mixtures that are dangerous for human health and chemical-physical hazards to the CAV (Poison Control Centers) in order to provide the necessary information in case of poisoning.

The new notification system for consumer and professional blends will apply from 1 January 2021. Inspections by the authorities will start in the second half of 2022 until mid-2023.
