ECHA: Authorisations granted for three substances

The European Commission has granted authorisations for the uses of three substances.

The substances with review period dates given in brackets are:

  • sodium dichromate (EC 234-190-3) - Gruppo Colle s.r.l. (15 December 2021) Authorised use: Use of sodium dichromate as mordant in wool dyeing with dark colours
  • 1,2–dichloroethane (EDC) (EC 203-458-1) - GE Healthcare Bio-Sciences AB (22 November 2029) Authorised use: Industrial use of 1,2-dichloroethane as an emulsifying solvent in the manufacture of porous particles for beaded chromatography and cell culture media
  • ammonium dichromate (EC 232-143-1) - Veco B.V. (21 September 2024) Authorised use: Use of ammonium dichromate as photosensitive component in a polyvinyl alcohol photolithographic lacquer system for the production of mandrels which are used in nickel electroforming processes
