CLP: UFI code on the label

The EU Regulation 542/2017 has become Annex VIII of the CLP Regulation.

One of the changes introduced by the Rules is the UFI code.

The UFI code is the Unique Formula Identifier, it is an alphanumeric code that unequivocally links a formula to a dangerous mixture in such a way that the reference centroantiveleni can provide a response in the event of a health emergency. With the introduction of this code it will be possible to quickly identify the formula in case of poisoning. The UFI code must be applied on the label, preceded by the initials UFI and must be legible and indelible.

The official version of the UFI code generator is available online. The UFI code can already be prepared by companies.
