ECHA: Evaluation of registration dossiers

Starting in 2019, ECHA will begin to verify registration dossiers and will send assessments to registrants who submitted non-compliant dossiers and not only to the lead registrant.

The content of ECHA's decisions will be simplified to provide more targeted justifications for the required information and clear information for registrants on their legal obligations.

This new mode of communication aims to support collaboration and communication between registrants regarding their joint submissions.

What must those who want to register do?

Be sure to update registration dossiers before 2019 and then take into account:

  • changes in production or import volumes (increase or decrease)
  • new or obsolete uses
  • new or modified measures to ensure the safe use of the substance
  • if the substance is an isolated or isolated intermediate and transported
  • new data on the intrinsic properties of the substance
  • justifications for the use of derogations
