The CEPRA laboratory performs HPLC analyzes to determine the main sunscreens used in cosmetic products.

The UV filters authorized by Regulation 1223/2009 are listed in Annex VI, which also specifies the maximum concentrations of solar filter allowed in the finished product.

The HPLC technique allows to perform a quantitative analysis capable of verifying the content of sunscreen inside the cosmetic product.
