Chemicals compliance
The Legislative Decree No. 54 of 11 April 2011 on the safety of toys has been modified to incorporate the latest updates of the following directives:
- Directive (EU) 2017/738 regarding lead modifies Annex II, part III, point 13 of the Toys Directive, decreasing the limits of lead migration, as shown in the following table:

- Directive (EU) 2017/774 regarding phenol;
- Directive (EU) 2017/898 concerning bisphenol A.
therefore modify Annex II, Appendix C, of the Toys Directive by adding the entry relating to phenol and modifying the one of bisphenol A, as follows:

The provisions on lead are applied from 28 October 2018, those on phenol from 4 November 2018 and those on bisphenol A from 26 November 2018, as required by European directives.
