CLP: Postponement of notification to poison control centers for consumer products

The CARACAL (group of experts on the CLP) has agreed the modifications to the annex VIII of the CLP.

The Commission is now proceeding with the adoption of a delegated act which will postpone the first deadline for harmonized reporting to poison control centers for mixtures intended for consumption, from 1 January 2020 to 1 January 2021. Entry into force is expected by the end of the year.

The Commission is also resolving some of the concerns raised and another change to Annex VIII is expected in 2020.
