COSMETICS: UPDATED THE LIST OF NANOMATERIALS

On 11/15/2019 the Commission published the updated list of nanomaterials used in cosmetic products.

The list, which is not proposed as a positive list of authorized substances, but as an informative catalogUE, groups nanomaterials into different sections (UV filters, colorants, preservatives ...) and identifies the reasonable and predictable exposure conditions.

At the moment, there are 27 nanomaterials included in the catalogue, but the list will be periodically re-analyzed and updated.
