ECHA: Downstream users and distributors: consider registering a substance yourself and benefit from DCG solution 21

If you are a downstream user or a distributor and no EU supplier wants to record the substance of your interest, an option could be to decide to import the substance and register it.

If you decide to take on the role of importer you need to send a request to ECHA and submit a registration. If you have difficulty obtaining all the information requested by 31 May 2018, you can take advantage of the DCG 21 solution and ECHA will assess the specific case.

Based on ECHA's assessments, the Agency will establish a deadline that will provide reasonable time to complete the registration.

For more information visit the ECHA website.
