Consultation on harmonised waste-sorting labels in EU

19, Sep, 2024 | Sector Chemical Compliance

Currently, the EU has no harmonised labelling requirements for waste recycling.

This leads to the need to differentiate labelling according to different national requirements.

In view of the new Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) ), which is due to be adopted at the end of 2024, a consultation on the design of EU harmonised waste sorting labels has been published.

The consultation is open from 2 to 30 September 2024.
