MoCRA: released the portal for product listing and facility registration

8, Jan, 2024 | Sector Chemical Compliance

In the context of the changes introduced by the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA), the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has finally released the portal for the registration of cosmetic products and production facilities.

The new regulations stipulate that:

– all facilities involved in the production or processing of cosmetic products for distribution in the United States must be registered;

– for all cosmetic products, the responsible person submits a ‘cosmetic product listing’ to the FDA.

The platform on which these procedures will be carried out is Cosmetic Direct: the FDA has also published helpful guidelines to assist registrants in the course of operations.
