CEPRA for Chemicals

Safety Assessment and PIF

CEPRA is an experienced and reliable partner to ensure the safety and compliance of cosmetic products placed on the EU market.

Thanks to a highly qualified team, we offer comprehensive support to assist manufacturers, brands and responsible persons to comply with the requirements of EC Regulation 1223/2009, ensuring that every cosmetic product is safe and ready to be placed on the market.

Our services include:

  • PIF drafting: we take care of the entire process of creating the Product Information File, starting with the collection and evaluation of the necessary documentation (formula, chemical-physical specifications and stability, microbiological stability, packaging compatibility, etc.).
  • Safety Assessment: we propose the role of Product Safety Assessor, performing an in-depth assessment in compliance with EC Regulation 1223/2009 and guaranteed by qualified experts.
  • Pre-Safety Assessment: we work alongside the research and development (R&D) team to assess raw materials, suppliers and formulas to identify potential issues before the product is manufactured.
  • Toxicological Profiles: we analyse the toxicological profiles of each ingredient and raw material in detail, assessing risk and safety for each product component.
  • INCI evaluation and labelling: we check and evaluate the ingredient list and legal texts to ensure correct product labelling.

In addition, we offer safety assessment services for non-EU markets to ensure product compliance for international markets as well.
